Bug Fix: Double Notifications by: TravisJust wanted to write a quick message that (for some reason) notification messages are currently being sent twice right now. I plan to look into this issue tonight and will hopefully have it patched as soon as possible. Nothing changed in the code, so this is rather perplexing, but I should be able to track down the problem and implement a fix. Sorry for the nuisance! <3
Bug Fix: Contact Form and Navigation by: TravisHey All,
I know things have been rather silent, but things are calming down a bit, so I've been tweaking some things slowly. It came to my attention today that a few things were broken on the site, namely the Contact Admin link, and some of the internal links on the site.
Now that these are fixed, if you have any problems with your account, please contact us, as we'd be more than happy to help you receive updates as soon as possible :).

Bug Fix: Explanation of Downtime by: TravisHiii,
After a rough two weeks, everything appears to be fully operational and working as intended.
The basic summation of what happened was during an operating system upgrade (Fedora Core 6 --> Fedora 12) the boot sector of the hard-drive decided to render itself inoperable, combined with some illness sweeping the data center that hindered the ability to repair the problems. So, it was decided that we would take this opportunity to move the server from Phoenix, Arizona to Colorado to provide for improved services (which was meant to happen back in November, but was prolonged due to the holiday season being a horrible time to overnight a server [call it holiday UPS rage]).
I sincerely appologize for the downtime, this kind of a thing is certainly not something that we expect, but are taking measures to prevent it from being an issue in the future. Thankfully, no data was hindered in the process and everything came to resolve as quickly as possible with minimal delays.
Thanks for choosing GEUpdate.com!

Few Feature: Major Improvements by: TravisHey All!
Just wanted to let you know that I've been busy working away behind the scenes on some code improvements that have made some major improvements to the speed at which we are able to detect updates
However, due to the explosive popularity of the site, some adjustments have had to be made to accomodate the large influx of members.
Premium users will now see an approximate 2 minute crawl time (and update detection) as well as a prioritization in notification (order which they are sent in). This was not possible before due to some shady code that has now been cleaned up.
Additionally, because of the load eased, we have been able to expand the number of sequential updates possible, and as such, premium users will now be able to add 20 credits instead of the previous 10, ensuring that you can track not only more items (if you do desire), but that less action is required on your part to ensure that you continue to receive the updates you need to know about.
Some more exciting changes coming your way soon :)!
And if you haven't already, you may want to check out the benefits of Premium Membership. Which makes most of the continued development possible.

New Feature: Update Archives! by: TravisIn keeping with the wonderful season of giving (that hopefully has brought joy to all)... I've gone ahead and released an GEUpdate exclusive feature: Grand Exchange Update Archives!!
The premise is pretty simple - we're letting our premium members look at all of our data since the inception of the site to notice trends that would be indicative of predicting when the next update occur. No other website has as much data as we do, and we've gone to the lengths of providing as close to the minute averages as possible.
This should be of great help to those who want another leg up on finding out when the Grand Exchange Updates.
Be back soon with more. Happy holidays!

New Feature: 256-Bit SSL Protection by: TravisNew feature #1:
Due to the nature of this website, and some of the information that is entrusted to us, I find it only fitting to move the site over to be routed through a SSL (Secure Sockets Later). You'll see this when you access the site, URLs now appear as https:// instead of http://. Basically this means that everything is more secure, and we've taken additional steps to protect your information and ensure the validity of the site :)
Bug Fix: Code Cleanup by: TravisWhew, It's been quite a while since I've posted anything...I'm in the middle of a huge code overhaul and feature expansion at the moment. The most prominent difference is some of the boxes that seemed mis-aligned to the right have now been fixed and are gone. Sorry for the annoyance!
Stay tuned in the next day or so, we'll be releasing a couple new features :D!

New Feature: Simultaneous Item Tracking! by: TravisWohoo!!
After multiple hours of hard work and mind breaking logic, I've managed to complete something that I've personally wanted (and a few of you have also asked for)...Simultaneous Item Tracking!
Premium users are now able to track unlimited items (checked at the regular interval) and receive unlimited notifications. Basically this is great for merchants who are involved in many items and need specific updates for items that update at irregular intervals (Rares, random items [animal masks], etc).
This is something that has NEVER been done before, and I'm incredibly excited about, and it is also a great reason to sign up for Premium.
I can't tell you how much money I've made in the last week or so buying rares that are trading below street price on the Grand Exchange, but are almost impossible to buy unless you get your buy offers in ASAP - this lets you do that with NO problem.
Warning: You will receive one SMS/Email notification per item you track when they update, if you decide to track 20 items, you may receive 20 text messages - use wisely (and preferably only if you have Unlimited SMS/TXT messages with your wireless carrier)!
Enjoy! <3

Bug Fix: Argggg, silly JAGeX! by: TravisThis isn't so much of a bug fix as an annoyance prevention mechanism. There is a check in place within the eXchange server to ensure that excess notifications are not sent, but apparently it was not long enough. Apparently JAGeX was playing with the Grand Exchange database this morning, and prices were changing every few minutes for about an hour, so the prevention time check wasn't long enough, I've gone ahead and extended this time, it should no longer be an issue :).
I apologize for the inconvenience!
