Q: What is NewScan?
A: Put simply, NewsScan - as the name suggests - scans the Runescape website for game news updates and delivers news articles to you via SMS/TXT or E-mail.

Q: Why should I care about Runescape news though?
A: Great question, there are a few reasons. As any good capitalist will know, the value of all goods is determined by the "invisible hand of the market;" in other words, an item is worth what players (the invisible hand) are willing to pay for any item at any given time. Game updates literally change the market in terms of how items work, how rare they are, and also the introduction of new items. These can have a tremendous impact on the price of items you hold and/or are trying to merchant. Our goal is to make merchanting as effortless as possible. Being notified of when these new items come into the game or if a significant change is on the horizon opens the door to making smarter, ahead-of-the-curve moves with your money and items when it comes to buying and selling.

Q: What do I need to use NewsScan?
A: All you need is a verified account with credits.

Q: How do I activate it?
A: NewScan is automatically available to all users by clicking on the NewsScan link in the navigation sidebar. From there, select the type of news you wish to be notified of and our systems will take care of the rest!
